Im Jahre 1806 wurde in Bremen durch Anton Friedrich Melchers die Firma C. Melchers & Co. gegründet. Bereits 1866 startete Melchers seine Aktivitäten im asiatischen Raum mit der Gründung eines Büros in Hongkong. Dies war gleichzeitig der Beginn einer weltweiten Expansion, so daß heute die Melchers Gruppe Niederlassungen in fast allen Erdteilen unterhält.
Die Standorte San Francisco, Hongkong, Shanghai, Beijing, Guanzhou, Taipei, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo, Bangkok, Saigon, Seoul, Jakarta, Surabaja und Manila garantieren die globale Präsenz der Melchers Gruppe. Die C. Melchers Essential Oils Handels-GmbH ist eine unabhängig agierende Tochtergesellschaft mit einem über 50-jährigen Know-How auf den Gebieten Ätherische Öle, Oleoresine und Riechstoffe. 1991 bezogen wir unsere neue Betriebsstätte am Flughafendamm in Bremen, die allen technischen, strukturellen und umweltrelevanten Anforderungen eines modernen Unternehmens gerecht wird. Am 1. April 2002 übernahm die SENSIENT Gruppe die CME. |
The company C. Melchers & Co. was founded in Bremen in the year 1806 by Anton Friedrich Melchers. As early as 1866, Melchers started its activities in Asia when it set up a branch office in Hong Kong. This simultaneously marked the beginning of its expansion world-wide, so that today the Melchers Group has branches in almost all parts of the globe.

In 1991, we moved into our new operating plant in Flughafendamm in Bremen which fulfils all technical, structural and environment requirements of a modern business enterprise. The SENSIENT group acquired the CME on April 1st, 2002. |
